Over the duration of 24 hours, women are immersed in tech culture and encouraged to exercise their imagination to create interesting and innovative hacks.
This year we are announcing a new theme: "Light the Way!" The tech field is still lacking in diversity, but we want to highlight the amazing women who have paved the path for us while encouraging each of you to support one another and inspire the future of women in tech. "Light the Way" is a call to all the women taking the tech world by storm: You are the future. Your work, passion, and voice will light the way!

Factors that will determine the winner:

Exploring individual and community health data – Best use of at least one of Visionist's datasets either by visualization, applications, UX, or data science.

Best Travel Hack - TripAdvisor
Hacks should use the TripAdvisor API to serve travelers and/or the travel industry. They can be new ideas, or improvement on ideas that already exist within the industry.
This category will be judged on the following criteria:
-Idea: Was it creative? Original? Will it make money? Is it useful?
-Implementation: How good was the design? How good was the execution? How much got done? Was it polished? Was it real or hard-coded? Was any interesting technology used?
-Demo: Did the team get the idea across clearly? Did the demo work? Was the team well prepared?

In this challenge, teams will identify and tackle a common daily task and use AWS components to build a system to solve it. We live in a mobile world, the task would likely involve the creation of a mobile app/web app to allow users to interface with AWS on their mobile devices.
